Out of concern for the health and safety of all participants amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Biomedical Conference, which was scheduled physically on 14-17 Dec 2020 in Toulouse, France, is transitioning to a virtual event. The timeframe for the virtual event is maintained to the December 2020 dates.

For students, two competitions are organized with respective two awards:
Best Student paper competition
For students who are willing to be considered for the Best Student paper competition award, the student must (i) be a full-time student during the time the work was performed, (ii) be the lead author, (iii) be a student at the original time of the conference (May 25-28, 2020), and (iv) register and personally present the paper at IMBioC 2020. A confirmation from your supervisor is also requested and should be sent to : imbioc2020@gmail.com. The competition involves the quality of the paper, of the presentation performed by the student and the responses given to questions from attendees. This award is sponsored by the GAAS-Association with a reward of 500 euros.
2 minutes thesis competition
Students are also invited to participate to a « 2 minutes thesis competition ». This consists to present your work in 2 minutes with only 1 to 2 slides maximum. It implies to provide an additional pre-recorded presentation of 2 minutes long in .mp4 format, using the same IMBioC2020 powerpoint template as for the regular presentation. This award is sponsored by the IEEE MTT-S French chapter with a reward of 500 euros.
To be a candidate to these competitions, students are invited to express their wishes during the registration stage.
